DENTCO Lends Hand to Daily Bread Renovation on RFMA Gives Volunteer Day
ORLANDO, FL. (September 24, 2016) Since 2011, the Restaurant Facility Management Association has supported deserving nonprofits in need of kitchen renovations. This year saw over 160 volunteers participating during the initial RFMA Gives Volunteer Day to renovate one of Orlando’s busiest soup kitchens, The Christian Service Center’s Daily Bread.
DENTCO’s own Kailee Dewitt, Scott Poynter and Teresa Phelps were in charge of coordinating volunteers as Task Force Leaders for a day that saw numerous projects completed on the 31-year-old kitchen and dining hall.
The first day of renovations left the Daily Bread building with a fresh coat of paint, updated landscapes, a restroom remodel and more. A few months of work are still set for completion before the final reveal sometime later this year.
